We have read your message containing your statement that our product NAS SPD8020 possibly does not comply with GPL standards.

Many of our products include open source software. We are very well aware of and aim to comply with the applicable license obligations, including the obligation of the (L)GPL license to either distribute source code with each product or to include a written offer for source code delivery. We are currently investigating whether either source code or a written offer has been distributed with our product NAS SPD8020. If this turns out not to be the case, please be assured that we will take action immediately.

As indicated on http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/spd8020cc_10/spd8020cc_10_fur_eng.html you can obtain the source code from Philips Customer Care (our helpdesk). If you contact our helpdesk and ask for a copy of the OSS source code of the NAS SPD8020, our helpdesk is instructed to then send you a CD with the source code. To contact our helpdesk, please go to http://www.support.philips.com/support/html/index_global.html, type in the product number, select the product, select "Contact Philips", and contact the telephone number mentioned there. If somehow that procedure fails to work, please contact me personally and I will make sure you will obtain a copy of the requested OSS source code.
