7-zip/LZMA question

Hi all,

I've found 7z in the middle of a rom image for a Safecom router,
so I split it out, and now file gives me:

out.bin.7z: 7-zip archive data, version 48.50

I've downloaded p7zip, and the latest version of LZMA.
It seems p7zip is a container format and this is a stream,
so I tried lzma -d, but the format wasn't recognised.
7z options only seem to give the possibility to extract files
and this isn't a file.

Can someone tell me how I decompress this file?
