Have you got an overview of Android-based device makers that actually
publish relevant source code and do not shield curious users from the
Linux operation?

This is not meant as a snark, I'm genuinely interested in such
devices.  It's just that I haven't bought a single device which
contained GPLed code where the vendor was compliant(*).  It's true
that most vendors have no inherent problems with compliance, it's just
that it's a rather low priority.

(*) Admittedly, an MSI Wind 2723 could have been an exception, I
    didn't look too closely at the installed software.
