Thanks for patiently pointing out these things.  I can't be the only one
that's getting a bit dismayed at the increase in emails on the list that
don't seem to understand what, e.g. GPL V2's requirements are and use
vague English to describe their inaccurate understanding of those
requirements.

Could the list's footer be used to point to some good references?  I can
think of

and hopefully there's others.  Newcomers to the list who want to report
violations, which is welcome and good -- thanks for the efforts, may
hopefully read a bit of those first to avoid so much noise.
