Well, such a simple tool could be easily built from the
scratch, I guess.

Probably the best would be to:

- look for the signs of the linux kernel
- look for the tools for which the copyright holders are known
to vigorously enforce the copyright (e.g. BusyBox which is
a staple of many such small linux systems)

and then proceed accordingly.
