dear kimberley,

in the reverse-engineering that we are carrying out we have been
testing the ethernet and have encountered problems: timeouts and a
segfault when the ethernet is connected. we have found the solution
here:

http://lists.openwall.net/netdev/2007/11/20/152

please pass this on to the engineers, because they MUST apply this
patch in order to have a reliable ethernet.

this is why it is important that you work WITH us rather than trying
to keep doing the work all yourself, and violating the GPL license.
we can HELP you to find these very important software problems which,
if you do not solve, the CT-PC89E product will be very unreliable and
unstable and your reputation as a reliable company will be destroyed
even before you begin.

if you had given us the linux kernel source code when we asked for it,
we could have been able to help you over three to four weeks ago.
there has been this massive delay - because you are not respecting the
GPL license - whilst we spent three weeks reverse-engineering a linux
kernel for your _own_ product.

i will repeat this for the seventh time: i cannot stress enough how
important it is that you respect the GPL and provide us with all GPL
source code.

l.

please note: this is separate from the hardware problems with the
DM9000 PCB layout and capacitor values, which we have reported at
http://elinux.org/CT-PC89E_Bugs, which only you can fix. this is
where your expertise is so important, in _hardware_ design.
