Hi Vic,

Thanks for the quick reply

Recently I have discovered Ben Nanonote[1], a free/open hardware
device, not only posts kernel[2], loader[3] and applications
development, but also hardware schematics and else you might need.

Even they use an Ingenic MIPS processor as you do, it is a nice
example on how to legally work with free/open source software. For
hardware is nice what they do, but they are not 100% free as their
development tools for capturing schematics and PCB layouts design are
non-free, but at least it is in the right path.

I am tempted to try this sources on your device, but I am afraid not
having a path back to my original setup. This devices are really
becoming popular in .EU and .US and lots of hackers getting such
devices for code hacking.

Recently I meet Iris microkernel developer[4] and he also had a device
like yours, but instead of reverse engenieering your device he just
got a Ben NanoNote and currently has a nice working microkernel for
such device.

It would be so nice if you could made a little more of an effort to
free linux kernel and uboot loader.

Thanks for all your tries to become legal !

Cheers,

P.S. It is posible, in future time, that export regulations does not
allow to bring illegal devices into our european countries. (Well, at
least it is a wish at the moment)
