 in terms of what - other company competitor products, for example?
that's the thing: _right now_ they're the only low-cost 8.9in ARM
netbook that's actually selling, and isn't "vapourware" and isn't
owned wholly by IBM or HP/Compaq and sold at a massive markup.

 but they won't remain that way for long: the knock-on effects of the
iPad "cloning" which is predicted to create 50 ARM/linux tablets by
the end of the year _will_ result in many of those going, "errr, if
we're making a tablet and it's this cheap using an ARM CPU, why the
heck don't we create a 9in or a 10in netbook, too?"

 so this really _is_ about saving their asses and getting a reliable
product out the door, but i can't see how to convince them of that.
