aabsolutely correct. it's chitech-seatron-midfun.com all over again.
sungworld are placed into a difficult and untenable position where
they a) cannot sell devices without risk of lawsuits b) are totally
beholden to the developers.
to resolve this, what they could do is either a) request the source
code b) contact and contract developers who _will_ provide them with
the full source code. i _would_ suggest asking on the debian mailing
lists, if kirk hadn't annoyed several thousand people by saying that
the source code could not be provided... perhaps after the situation
is explained, it may be possible to salvage something, there.
