On what basis are you making this judgment? (I.e. do you have evidence
that it contains GPL'd code, other than the existence of a "copying"
file, which does not appear to relate to anything in particular?)

It would be worth understanding the factual situation first, before
trying to offer some guidance as to the possible legal situation, to my
