Is it possible/impossible to develop proprietary software to run on linux?

I am sorry for you, but a lot of embedded systems don't use things from
the GNU project, like uClibc (not a part of GNU), busybox (not a part of
GNU) and so on.
And this has nothing to do with licensing anymore, so let's stop this
discussion here, hmkay?
