If Flightgear is under the GPL then re-branding is not necessarily a
violation. Re-branding is not prohibited by the GPL licence, though
copyright attribution and so on cannot be removed from the code.
It does not appear that attribution has been necessarily been removed.
On http://www.flightprosim.com/ it says "Based on the award winning
Flight Gear project." If the software 'flight-aviator' or 'flight sim
pro' is distributed with a copy of the GPL and source code or a written
offer to provide source code, then it may be compliant with the terms of
the licence.
You need to establish if the project is distributing Flightgear derived
code (or other content distributed under the same licence) outside of
the terms of the GPL.
