  Why the code is in there is really a moot point.  Of course, it can
be ported to any operating system you like, you'd have to keep it
open, HOWEVER..  The operating system wouldn't have to be.  Nor would
madwifi, using the BSD license.

  The could fairly easily be reusing the wireless tools for Linux
without changing them one little bit, as long as their operating
system simply provided identical API's.  That's not 'stealing sections
of the Linux kernel', however.
