no i havent contacted the Deutsche Telekom since there i dont know any
responsible person for gpl issues in this very big company

i dont think its harsh if i say "likely" and "vendor" (the vendor is not
Deutsche Telekom, its a OEM product. but however Deutsche Telekom is
responsible for taking care about the GPL)
for reasons why this code is in it can just guess.
since the vendor of this firmware uses madwifi for controling the wifi
interface it looks like he simply took the wireless controling sources
like Wireless Extensions and Wireless Tools, to configure the wifi
interfaces. I can prove that the Wireless Extensions and parts of the
Wireless tools are compiled into the firmware binary.
you may check it by yourself. i uploaded the extracted binary too
http://www.dd-wrt.com/fw-sp-w700v-b-1_22_000.bin
and for the rest. how could it be that linux networking drivers drivers
are used in a proprietary operating system without using core parts of
linux?
you will find 2 linux drivers in it. for ethernet and wireless.
