The BT box is basically a Speedtouch with a modified firmware (pretty 
much purely branding). It can be upgraded using BT firmware or it can be 
flashed back to a standard Speedtouch. As far as I could tell, the 
firmware was signed so uploading your own firmware would be very tricky 
without help from Thomson or BT.
