BT Home Hub: Continued violation

Hi all,

It has been well over a year since we first discussed the situation with
regard to the BT "Home Hub" ADSL router. BT is a major company, not just
in the UK but globally and their continuing violation of the GPL sends
out a message that it's OK to use GPL licensed code in violation of its
license as long as you make a token gesture of compliance.

BT's token gesture comes in the form of a selection of source code
released on this website:

http://www.btyahoo.com/broadband/adhoc_pages/gplcode.html

A principal part of the GPL concerns the freedom to make modifications
to the code *AND* crucially to be able to install and test those
modifications. BT has to date, as far as I can see, failed to provide
the "scripts used to control installation" of modified code to the
device.

I want to modify this firmware so if there's anything I can do
personally to help move this along then let me know. I'd be only too
glad to help!

Kind regards,

Paul
