avm might not give the source fitting the binary parts ofits fritzbox sourcs as soon as the binaries are available

Hello
After days of trying to get a selfcompiled kernel to work on my fritzbox i
was figuring that for some reason it is just not possible. Discussion with
some people on irc backs up my feeling that the source doesn't fit the
binaries. it is impossible to build a kernel that allows loading the binary
modules. I also contacted avm with a request for the source to that specific
firmware I'm using and was given the same link I used in the first place.
According to the discussion on irc every now and then building a kernel that
works becomes possible after avm releases a more current source.
Unfortunately I lack the skills to know for sure wether this is a gpl
violation and hope that you can give me advise what to do in this situation.
