Motorola gnu/linux phones

Hi!

How will the gplv3 affect the motorola gnu/linux based phones, as far as I
can see they incorporate a lot of non gpl technology and also they don't
make it particularly easy to get the source.. are there technical
restrictions placed on the phone hardware that restricts access to the
bundled software only?

As it currently stands, if the phones started using gplv3, would they be
compliant?

I presume that they will sooner or later be using gplv3 code..
