Is Magnant a derived work ?

The graphics certainly are not a derived work in that they are not directly 
linked into the game or contained in with the script files (they are input 
files to the program and are not part of the program itself)

The other software items, if they are stand-alone processes with seperate 
exe files are not a derived work either.

At least that is my understanding of the GPL.
