Linksys WRT300N v2 GPL violation

unlike the WRT300N v1 where the gpl code is available, linksys never
released a sourcecode for the v2 hardware revision which is based on a
complete different
chipset (xscale instead of broadcom). but beside this the unit is still
based on linux.
the firmware binary which is available at
http://www-uk.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Download_C2&childpagename=UK%2FLayout&cid=1129319258422&packedargs=sku%3D1144912117826&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper

contains a gpl'ed redboot bootloader binary as well as a linux kernel
with a squashfs filesystem. the firmware manufacture is "sercom"

some strings from the binary

RedBoot(tm) bootstrap and debug environment [ROMRAM]
Red Hat certified release, version 2.02 - built 16:30:07, Apr 21 2006

   eCos GDB stubs [via RedBoot] - built Apr 21 2006 / 16:30:07

The Linksys support hotline told too that there are no plans for a
source release for this device. another interesting thing. there are no
references on the linksys website which are pointing to this
new hardware revision which is available since May in Europe (mainly uk,
but scandinavia too)
just if you click on the firmware download button you will finally find
a firmware image which does not fit to the old hardware revision
