Motorola flat out lied to me about GPL source code

I contacted motorola motocoder with the following:
Where can I get the source code to the GPL components of the Motorola linux 
phones?
Specifically, I have evidence that the following (or parts of the 
following) are included on the phones (well the A780 I examined anyway)
the BLOB bootloader
<snip other GPL/open source programs confirmed to be running on the phone>

As far as I am aware all these packages are licenced under open source 
licences which require motorola to provide source code. (If I am mistaken 
about the licence of a particular package, feel free to correct me)

They then pointed me to a canned FAQ answer that says:
"Only the Linux kernel is GPL." which is NOT true.
