Just an update to this.

I talked to Linksys support and they say they can't disclose anything else 
than the specifications (the PDF they have in their webpage) so I guess it'll 
have to be reverse engineer.

MediaTek never answered.

I'll send the letter in a few days. Would it be better if it's Linksys Spain 
or Linksys US?
