ConnecTec is probably just a brand of PEARL anyway.

That would be helpful. Please send it to my address as specified at
http://hmw-consulting.de/contact.html. I would be able to do an
analysis and get it back to you ASAP. If the device contains GPL
licensed components (and is distributed license incompliant) I would do
my own test purchase for evidence anyway.
