If I've just discovered what I think is a violation this suggests to me
I can discuss it here because it's an existing one, not a historical

    How can I help gpl-violations ?

    Firstly by not reacting to a technical GPL violation in an extreme
    fashion. Secondly by checking the violation is indeed a violation.

    Join the mailing lists, discuss issues there first.

And here.  If this list is to discuss current GPL violation legal
issues, but without naming the parties involved, then that needs making
clear.  And if you want actual details emailed privately then that would
be nice to put here as well.
